Another horrific traffic accident in Saudi Arabia: Riyadh (Urdu Point latest newspaper. July 2, 2020) Saudi Arabia has been experiencing several traffic accidents in the past few days. As a result of which dozens of people have lost their lives. Also yesterday, a foreigner was killed and 10 others were injured in a traffic accident. According to the Saudi website Sabq, the accident took place on the old Hijaz Road, 20 km from Afif city, when the vehicle of the foreign workers suddenly overturned, killing one worker and injuring ten others.
As soon as the accident was reported, medical personnel were dispatched to the spot. All the injured were shifted to Afif General Hospital. However, one worker died on arrival at the hospital while nine injured were being treated, two of them in critical condition.
The director of the hospital, Abdul Aziz Al-Shalani, is overseeing the treatment and operation of the injured in the traffic accident.
Last month, nine people, including four Pakistani migrants, were killed in a horrific accident in Hail. The accident took place 250 km from Hail city, as a result of which 9 persons in two vehicles died on the spot. A spokesman for the Civil Defense Department said the five-member Saudi family was traveling in their car when a pickup coming from the front collided with their car.
As a result, both vehicles caught fire. As a result of the clash, five members of the same Saudi family and four Pakistanis in the pick-up died on the spot. By the time first aid teams arrived on the scene, no passengers had survived. All the unfortunates were shifted to the Hail Commissioner's morgue. According to the spokesman, the Saudi family was a resident of Hail. The head of the family was a police sergeant in Hail named Marzooq al-Rashidi. Marzooq was visiting a relative with his wife, two daughters and a son. However, he left his 17-year-old eldest son at home, otherwise his life might not have been safe.
